The 2021 season is drawing closer and with it comes the return of the much-loved Adopt an Otter program. In the first year of the program in 2019, the Otters saw all 35 players adopted and won Best New Revenue-Generating Idea from the league. The goal of the program is to strengthen the bond between our players and the community that extends beyond the lines on the field. Interested families can e-mail adopt@ottersoccer.com to sign up or ask any questions!

Families who sign up for this program will pay a $200 fee that will go towards the costs of getting your Otter settled in Johnson City. In return, your family will be assigned a player that best matches your families interests and get a fact sheet of your players favorite treats. Families will also receive one free camp registration, a shirt with the players name and number on the back, and can walk out with their player when they start at Otters home games!

The most important note is that this is not a home stay. Players will not stay in your home as a part of this program!

The Otters simply ask that you bring goodie bags of your Otters favorite treats throughout the season. You can also have them over for dinner, games, or whatever your family is comfortable with. There is no “right” way to adopt an Otter! Hopefully, these relationships last long after the season has ended.

Families looking to get more information or sign-up can e-mail adopt@ottersoccer.com or DM the Otter Soccer on any social media platform. There are a limited number of players so make sure to secure your spot before they are gone!

The Otters kick off their first USL League Two match at Tobacco Road FC in just two months! Be sure to follow the Otters on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and here on Medium as more announcements will be rolling out as we get closer to players arriving and games kicking off! #FearTheFur #NewYearNewOtters
