The final signing of the 2021 class is one familiar to Otters fans and is looking to lead the Otters attack once again. During his first season in Johnson City, Segovia set numerous offensive records, many of which he still holds today. Following that summer, he transferred to Florida Tech where he has continued his high goal-scoring marks. The Otters begin their preseason today in Boone, North Carolina but return to Johnson City this Sunday to play their first-match in TVA Credit Union Ballpark. Tickets for that match and the season are now on sale and can be purchased here!

Guillermo Segovia first came to the Otters in 2018 from Ohio Valley University, where he tallied eleven goals and ten assists, helping lead the Fighting Scots to their first ever conference championship and a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Segovia was named to the GMAC Second Team and to the Division II All-Midwest Team.

The Spanish forward made his first season in Johnson City count, pacing the Otters attack in nearly every category. Segovia finished the season with ten goals and four assists, playing over 1,200 minutes. In Week 7, he was named to the USL PDL Team of the Week and won Goal of the Week for his strike against Peachtree City MOBA. Segovia set, and still holds, many Otters records that still stand today. He is still the only player to record double-digit goals, and is the leader in career and season goals and points, and is third all-time in assists. Segovia is also the only Otters player to go over 1,200 minutes in a single season, and is tied for second for shots in a season and career. Segovia is also tied for the most shots recorded in a single game with five.

Following the summer, Segovia transferred to Florida Tech in Melbourne, Florida. In his first season, he recorded five goals and one assist. The following year, Segovia scored eight goals and eight assists to earn a spot on the Sunshine State Conference First Team. He was also named to the D2CCA All-South Region First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Time. Segovia also became the first-ever Panther to be named a Scholar All-American.

All signings are pending league and federation approval
