Open Tryouts for 2022 Season Set for January 22nd

The Otters will host their annual open tryouts January 22nd for their 2022 USL League Two roster. Tryouts are open to all college and high-level high school players. The cost to participate is $50 and all participants will receive an Otters shirt. To register and pay with a card go HERE, for cash or Venmo payment, sign up HERE.

Historically, the Otters have continued to find impact players every year during open tryouts. Club legends such as George Stanley, Dion Stergiotis, and Jan Gruhn have all earned their ways on to the roster via open tryouts.

“Open tryouts are so important to us as an organization,” says GM Lucas Christiansen. “We track hundreds of players throughout the fall, but we can’t watch everybody. The coaching staff take this event very seriously, and we know that there is no one path to being a standout USL League Two player.”

The day will follow the same format as years past. Check-in will begin at 8:30, with skill drills and assessments beginning at 9:30 and running throughout the morning. Following a break, the afternoon will feature a full-sided scrimmage.
